np: hanson - go
good God today i was in school from 9-5...first was 3.5 hours of chem revision then lunch then 2.5 hours of bio revision. ari, thy and i decided to take a walk around and try and find where our exam venue was, cos its not in school. apparently there's no hall big enough to accomodate everyone. i dunno why they cant split the cohort up into groups and put us in seperate LTs...for God's sake, Redmond Barry building has 4 LTs on its own already. madness. instead we have to walk for 10 mins to this building near the melbourne museum to sit for our exams. what a load of crap. haha well, hasseeb's exams are in albert park...which is where the grand prix is held. i dunno what kind of hall they have there.
anyway, school today. bloody tiring man. chem revision really killed all my brain cells. it was crowded and this one lecturer kept going on and on and on until he ate into half an hour of our hour long lunch. FOOL! bio wasnt so bad, it was quite fast moving. tomorrow i have to go back for chem tut.and friday there's physics. some study break this is turning out to be!
oh and even better news...the temperature tmr...listen to this. min NINE max FIFTEEN....noooooooooooooooooooooooo why so colddddddddddd. as if the monster winds today werent enough. they were GALE FORCE WINDS i kid you not. there was a wind warning for motorists and everything. walking to school in the morning i nearly got blown sideways. i knew all the weight i put on eating tim tams would come in handy. at least i dint get blown away. i shudder to think about my sister in clayton. she probably flew off a few times with the breeze.
ok i've done 2006 chem paper. and i'm halfway through 2005. shall do until 2004 tonight..plus go thru my chem tutes before tmr's revision session. tmr i'm going to camp at Gloria Jean's and finally get down to revising my botany notes. bio exam is 6 days away crapshitdamn.
oh oh oh before i forget. vet science fac got back to me and said its ok if i do 2 bio subjects next semester. BIOLOGY 111 HERE I COME!!! goodbye earth science. i will miss earth science boy...or rather i will miss looking at him, but studies come first.i cant tahan earth science anymore. and i probably wont do well in it. plus, bio 111 has no labs, and i think tutes are only every other week, plus there's a lot of self-learning tasks. so that means...LESS CONTACT HOURS FOR MEEEEEEEE...which is always a good thing.28 hours this semester was so gross. everyday in school from 9-5 and so many breaks. i dunno what i was thinking when i planned my timetable man. stupid stupid kiki. but i think i will take all the 10am labs again la...i will fall asleep if i go to lab at 2pm..as earth science prac has taught me. now if only phys lab could stop being such a bitch, its the only lab that i have without fail every week...and its the most boring pointless one. whole day stand there connecting wires or bouncing balls or listening to resonance waves.*shudder*
i have no food in my house again. sigh.

np: strays don't sleep - for blue skies
today was the last day of semester one!!!! yay!!!!!!!!!!!!! exactly one month before im on a flight back home. went for all the morning lectures today, so semester officially ended for me at 11am. but i hung around for SSS end of semester bbq on south lawn. ppl were drunk and it was only 1pm.one boozed up guy came to say hi to me and ariane and we have absolutely no idea who he is...aiyoh..we just muttered a polite HI back and steeled ourselves as he bumped into us and then staggered away. hahaha it was really quite funny.somebody came in a white tuxedo. and they were advertising their post exam bash with the slogan...CHEAP DRINKS FREE SEX! hahahahahahaha.there was literally a guy walking up and down the queue shouting that while he gave out flyers.
i passed my prac exam!!! 71%...it could have been better but nvm, i will ace my theory paper i hope.to be honest i was quite relieved to pass actually. im thinking of dropping earth science next semester. i feel like taking another bio subject, but i must check whether the vet science fac approves first. if they dont...im gonna cry. i dont wanna do ES anymore...tho earth science boy was looking bloody hot today.he was in a SUIT...hubba hubba.
owen hargreaves is rumoured to be in manchester for a physical, and to negotiate his contract!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!!

np: Kaiser Chiefs - i predict a riot
its been a long ass week. had ALL my labs and ALL my tutes aiyoh very tiring. plus phys test which dint go too badly except for the first question but everybody who did that test bombed the first question. it was a test on fluids, which i was reasonably good at in TJ, so i'm not too worried i guess.and even if i bomb the test, i'll remind myself that its only worth 3.3 percent of my final grade.
after that taxing week, i met jema last night. we were supposed to do something which in the end we dint do and we went shopping instead. haha occupying the changing room to talk crap as usual, tho this was not as bad as the time 5 of us squeezed into the zara changing room in singapore for half an hour. had dinner in chinatown then dessert at freddo's...bloody hell i love that gelato.
samyu's back in sgp but instead of talking to me on msn she went off to do other stuff on the net! I DONT APPRECIATE THAT SAM!! so sandz and i had a long lovely chat instead about food and our cute fathers...plus the hilarious yo mama/yo stewardess jokes. haha good times. nav's in canada for the week. and ezzah! i havent talked to you in forever and a day. 37 days til im home!
its been raining alot the past 2 days. thursday morning when i was checking my mail i got a letter from the post office saying there was a package for me waiting to be collected..my JERSEYS had arrived! so i walked down to lygon during my lunch hour even tho it was raining really badly to collect it. had to wait 10 mins cos the inefficient staff couldnt find it at first. i would have stabbed them with my umbrella if they had lost it.but they didnt and i got my package and the jerseys are really really really nice. tonight if we win the FA cup, i will wear it to school on monday.
Grace has decided to accept Uni of Melbourne and i could not be happier for her...and for me.and jema. haha. xunny has gotten into NUS Law! well done lovely! you and navleen can be classmates and that is gonna be hilarious.i can just see u two bitching about anything and everything.
so now i'll have free insurance(grace), pyschological(sandz and the mummy) and legal(nav,xunny and the sister plus 2 cousins and an uncle..GOD) advice. excellent. my life is set.
now if only i could ace my exams and give everyone free veterinary advice. ok im off to drown myself in bio.

wow its been a while since i heard this song. if anyone's interested, i did NOT get 3 free muffins in a row, though the 3rd one was heavily discounted. i refused to take it free cos i felt really guilty. haha. DAMN THIS CONSCIENCE OF MINE!
i really really miss my friends. a few of them were discussing where they were going that night, or blogging about their outings or baking at someone's house or having class get-togethers and i found myself REALLY wanting to be there. but instead, where was i on saturday? studying in school with Ariane. which was fun in itself since we were going mad trying to figure out what was going on in one lecturer's notes, but still, it was studying....thats not very nice. had lunch with her after that, and then she went to work and i went home. to study more. i reaaaaaaaaaally miss my gfs back home. alot alot alot alot alot.
3 weeks to exams. and i havent started physics revision. !^%$&^@!#...and i have a phys test tmr. its open ended.
tonight there's catalunya grand prix PLUS man united's last game of the season where we will lift the trophy. shit shit shit why must both be at the same time?!maybe it'll be a fantastic night. and both kimi and man united will win.
it's wonderful to see all my friends having their wishes fulfilled. many are getting their uni acceptance letters. i rmb getting mine and it was great. i wish i couldve shared it with someone at the time. but its all good. so in no particular order, congratualtions to the following high-fliers:

i have no food in my house. none. no wait...i have 3 slices of cheese, a carrot and milo. oh a handful of pasta too...but no sauce to cook it with. :( but im too lazy to go grocery shopping. maybe after school tomorrow. oh wait shit, i have to wait for 4pm so i can go borrow my textbook frm the lib so i can keep it for the weekend...haiyah so troublesome.
i am feeling kinda brain dead. had a 6 hour break between classes yesterday and spent 5 bloody hours camped in the union house basement and after lunch in the earth science library buried in the textbook...made up my mnemonics for memorising the geological time scale and somehow they all involve chelsea football club and how much i hate them...for example, my mnemonic for the palaeozoic age subdivisions is as follows:

Devonian Drogba
Carboniferous Crappy

and there are 2 more after that..mainly about how chelsea is toxic. ya i was pretty zapped by the time earth science lecture started...and pretty much fell thru my front door when i got home.
been getting free muffins from the coffee house...YAY...had to put up with my hand being mauled, but the humongous blueberry muffin i got in return was bloody nice...and i got another free one the very next day. you think my luck will run 3 days in a row? i'll let you know tmr.
today i made a bit of a fool of myself in phys tut...aga messaged me and it was a funny message and i smiled really widely in phys tut which is basically a silent class and the tutor looked at me like maybe i was mad...gosh...i dont wanna show my face there next week!
its been getting colder...so im taking the opportunity to wear my gorgeous new scarf and smirk at all the chelsea fans i pass COS MAN UNITED ARE THE CHAMPIONS BAYBEE!!!! woohoo..arsenal did us a favour by holding chelsea to a draw, thus giving us the title...the chelsea vs man u match this morning was so stupid...man u fielded so many reserve players and chelski still couldnt win. aiyoh. kinda makes me regret that we dint put out a better team...wouldve won 4-0 maybe.
my new bio lecturer is a really funny woman...we're doing sexual reproduction now...and she was talking about how earthworms have both male and female organs situated in different parts of the body, and therefore they have sex in the 69 position...and yes i swear she actually said 69 position...then when everybody laughed she said "I knew that was the only way i could make ya'll understand it"
then we went on to talk about contraception because, as she put it..."you all probably need to know this now"...i think my friend almost had a fit laughing.and boys and girls...the one way to ensure no unwanted pregnancy...is to abstain from sex...yeah it took a real genius to figure THAT ONE out...i should become a uni lecturer now...
or maybe a train driver...my sister was telling me aussie train drivers make 80k a year...thats right EIGHTY THOUSAND DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!! so i asked my local friend about it and here was her reply...."OH i thought it was more"..............WTF!!!!!!!! WHY AM I IN UNI????? the train driver's job is how effing easy? one button for go, one button for stop, one button for intercom...they dont even have to open the doors ok...we pull open the door ourself. LOUSY LA!!!! in singapore if they make 20 000 a year i think quite good already for a train driver, and here is EIGHTY??? no wonder my fees so ex and my food costs a bomb, all the money goes to the train driver. cheebye.
today my friends were saying how the uni sends you an email if you're failing a subject to let you know that you're failing and that dropping a subject is an option...hello am i back in A levels? i dont know why they tell ppl to drop...if ppl fail and repeat the sub instead of dropping it, doesnt the school make more money? no business sense i tell you....
ok my flight back is confirmed...i'll be getting home on the 25th of june...around 8-9pm sgp time...and staying for 3 weeks only aiyoh...i dont want to come back and face winter...i miss the sun. return flight is 18th july...missing my friend's 21st bday...but nvm i dun care...i cant wait to go home and see everyone and eat good food and get a tan...and and and...ok i dunno but i cant wait to go home!
melissa's dad is coming down this weekend to sydney for work and coming to melbourne to see her and her sis...she's so happy haha...
in other happy news...my jerseys are on the way!!! they should get here this weekend or early next week YAY YAY YAY!!

man i love my dad...
the united away jersey is out of stock in melbourne AND in singapore, so basically the only way to get it is to order from www.manutd.com...and you need a credit card for that...
now my supplementary credit card was given to me by my dad on the condition that i dont use it for rubbish...only for emergencies...and i've had no problems sticking to the plan.i dont want to take money from him for my random, occasional, expensive purchases , i prefer to save up from the allowance he gave me when i came to melbourne and then buy my stuff, like what i did with the home jersey.but i really really really wanted a jersey and aga dint have access to a credit card...so i messaged him ( abit tentative) and said i knew credit cards were for emergencies and educational purposes only but could i please please please order the jerseys online and i would pay him back and cook for him...and his sweet reply?
"go ahead and order the jerseys...and you dont have to pay me back...just eat well, study hard and be safe. love you."
could i ask for a sweeter old man? i dont think so. the worst part of this conversation was that i ran out of phone credit so i'm not sure if he got my reply...which is also why i havent replied to you aga!! sorry!!
all in all its been a great weekend...had a lot of fun on my earth science field trip. collected a shark tooth fossil and a couple of nice volcanic rocks...and the weirdest part which made me realise how small this planet is and how interconnected we are? i managed to call my dad all the way in Abu Dhabi in the Middle east from the top of a volcano in Geelong, Victoria ( an ulu farm country outside of Melbourne). phones and satellites...they make the world go round.
man united beat man city last night...if chelsea fail to beat arsenal at the emirates tonight...the title will come back to Old Trafford. the feeling i had when the final whistle blew last night was incredible..after 4 years of waiting, the time is finally drawing near. i cant wait. i hope we win i hope we win i hope we win!!
so now i've got 2 jerseys coming my way, the possibility of man united being confirmed champions tonight and no bio prac this week... LIFE IS AWESOME! |

slept for 11 hours after my 39hour sleepless marathon...my eyes were burning by the time i lay down...but 11 hours was really really good and refreshing..
had a short day today, so met my sis for lunch and some walking around after that...i finally ate mcdonalds after 2.5 months in melbourne...$5.45 for a filet o fish meal..i tell you it was the size of a fucking happy meal in sgp ok...IM DAMN ANGRY...it was so tiny la...my sis was laughing at it. :(
i was looking for a manchester united jersey after that...sis was kind enough to follow me to look for it...im sure if it had been my friends they would have put their collective foot down and vehemently protested. went to this football store in melb central...the owner was obviously a united fan....united merchandise dominated the store...anyway, they dint have jerseys but i DID buy a gorgeous official man united scarf for myself and aga...its so warm and fuzzy and nice...im wearing it to school every day in winter...the guy recommended a store to buy jerseys but said they would prob be all sold out...was pretty sad cos he dint know where the store was.
went on to bourke street where we were looking for the David Jones Foodhall...David Jones is the aus version of marks&spencer...i tell you the foodhall is bloody awesome ok...so much food that looks so so so so so delicious...the cakes..cookies, seafood, dips, cheeses, chocolates...woohoo...bought a choco chip cookie and sat on a streetside bench to talk and listen to nice songs on our ipod..it was very very nice..
but before we went to the foodhall, guess what my sis happened to spot? THATS RIGHT...THE SHOP THAT THE GUY RECOMMENDED...and i found my lovely, gorgeous, amazing jersey...and i bought it...and then i had this stupid happy grin on my face.it was the best 150 bucks i've ever spent.and im not the least bit guilty.
followed the sis to body shop to find a prez for her friend...after many detours and backtracks, she finally bought a really really really nice gift set for her friend. went home after that a bit tired but immensely satisfied...wanted to buy the away jersey as well, but could only find HUMONGOUS sizes...the one i found literally ended below my knee....but no matter...i'll find it somehow.
looking forward to a good weekend..earth science fieldtrip tmr with free bbq lunch. maybe i'll wear my new scarf!! haha.blogger is being a bitch again...am trying to upload photos of the stuff i bought today but its taking a really long time...i think i'll go cook first and come back later to see if its done.
ok im back...and halfway thru my dinner...and the pictures arent done...i'll try another time..tho i think only aga's interested.

np: the stone roses - this is the one
so...this wasn't the one for manchester united. had a bad feeling going into this match. 2 away goals conceded,and going to play in the cauldron that is the san siro. 4 and a half thousand manchester united fans vs 78000 milanese.
man united played like crap. simple as that. scholes giggs and ronaldo did not show up at all...and therefore rooney, alone up front, had no chances. fletcher and carrick, meant to be attacking midfielders, were forced to track back and defend for 95% of the match. the defence...well...what defence...vidic looked off the pace, wes brown was ok, o shea crappy, heinze was better at attacking. VDS made 1 or 2 good saves, and that was it. best MU player today imo-carrick or rooney...there wasnt much to choose from.
and kaka, ambrossini, pirlo and gattuso decided to have a fantastic game all at the same time. final score 3-0 to milan...they deserved it, they were better. im not one of those fans who's gonna say my team was the best or deserved to win when we didnt. i sincerely hope ac milan beat liverpool in the final. they are the most consistent side in europe...making 4 out of the last 6 finals or something like that.
i am immensely proud of manchester united. we dint make it past the group stage last season. people predicted we would end up trophyless, and 4th in the premiership. the team is young, but they've had a magnificent season, had a few thrilling comebacks, and are now in a position to win 2 trophies. even after tonight, i still love this team, and i'm so proud of what they did this season that i might burst.
3 more games and the prem trophy could be ours...and then may 19th-we're taking jose and his muppets down. and then next season...the world better watch out.
i'll spend the next hour crying/cursing, but this weekend, i am going to look for my jerseys...and wear them proudly to school next week.
